Xenopixel v2/Xeno v2 Pixel firmware update (v1.8)
Before beginning this tutorial please read our warranty information as to not void your warranty
To update the firmware of your SaberForge Xenopixel v2 to v1.8, you must access the SD card located inside the electronics core housed within your saber. SaberForge Xenopixel v2 sabers cannot connect to the computer via USB connection.
The SD card must be physically removed from the Xenopixel v2 electronics core. Follow our core removal guide if you need help peforming that step.
The firmware update process will differ depending on the current firmware version of your SaberForge Xenopixel v2 saber. If your core contains firmware v1.6, then you must first update to firmware v1.7 before applying the latest firmware update.

Notes:
-
Xenopixel v2 electronics and files are NOT MAC compatible. You must use a computer with a Windows OS. Editing your Xenopixel v2 files on a MAC computer will result in random ghost files and metadata being created and applied to the SD card. This will result in malfunctioning behavior from the Xenopixel v2 core.
-
The Xenopixel v2 core will not reapply a firmware update that is already active. For example: if you apply the v1.8 firmware update and the Xenopixel v2 core already has v1.8 firmware installed, then no update sounds or process will occur.
